JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Marketing Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing

PURPOSE: The Marketing Coordinator position will support and advance the North Jersey FCU mission by assisting in planning, developing and executing marketing initiatives through to its membership and the community through public relation efforts, advertising, event and social media campaigns. The coordinator will work as part of a team and also independently to assist in developing marketing initiatives that promote, enhance and protect the credit union’s reputation and overall growth goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assists in marketing, advertising and promotion of North Jersey FCU products and services.

• Participate in creating and maintaining North Jersey FCU brand awareness through marketing campaigns, events, print advertising and social media.

• Monitor materials for consistent internal and external use, including document templates, graphics, language, tone, fonts, etc.

• Directly manage social media platforms through daily engagement and analytical analysis. Also respond to any online member contact through social media platforms.

• Manage content and distributions of regular newsletters, brochures and other communications materials.

• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on all communications efforts for Executive staff and Board.

• Regular involvement and organization with all North Jersey FCU events.

EXPECTATIONS:

1. To carry out assigned responsibilities according to established department standards.

2. To assist Marketing Director in achieving North Jersey FCU’s planned market share, assets, loans, and other product/service objectives.

3. To ensure communication elements are accurate, timely and within budget guidelines.

4. To provide informed, prompt, professional and accurate service and support to all members and associates.

Education and/or Experience:

• College degree (BS or BA in a relevant field)

• Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Public Relation preferred

• 2-4 years marketing experience with a focus on content strategy execution, including social media management, content creation and project management.

Specific Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Knowledge of how to operate Constant Contact and be able to maneuver in Illustrator design software.

• CRM knowledge a plus

• Exceptional written/verbal communication skills,

• Ability to work independently and use independent judgment

• Ability to work and maintain relationships with a wide range of consultants and business partners

• Ability to diplomatically and collaboratively work in fast-paced team setting

• Ability to multi-task and problem-solve

• Analytical – understanding of data and how to use it to improve marketing results.

• Social Media Savvy – ability to create posts, monitor and respond to comments and analyze data on all company social platforms

• Excellent organizational and project management skills

• Ability to work within brand/creative standards for copywriting and editing

• Ability to speak and write in Spanish a plus.
