PORTFOLIO PROCESS

PORTFOLIO REQUIREMENT

Throughout the school year, students and teachers work collaboratively to assemble a portfolio of student work in every class. The class portfolios serve as the basis for the development of a cumulative Graduation Portfolio which demonstrates proficiency of the school's 21st Century Graduation Expectations, Grade Span Expectations, and national standards.

GRADUATION PORTFOLIO

Student work from high school career which demonstrates mastery of all 21st Century Graduation Expectations, state standards, and national standards.

I. Requirements: Minimum of Fifteen pieces of work with reflection (one for each 21st Century Graduation Expectation) Work samples from English, Math, Science, Social Studies,

II. Assembly of Graduation Portfolio:

Literacy Skills: Submission of work samples deemed distinguished or proficient in every content area

Math Skills: Submission of work samples deemed distinguished or proficient in every content area

Business Skills: Submission of work samples deemed distinguished or proficient in every content area

Senior Skills: Submission of remaining work samples deemed distinguished or proficient in every content area

III. Assessment:

Reviewed by faculty during Common Planning Time

Senior Project community judges

Class portfolios are completed by 4th Quarter deficiency period. Four pieces of work from each class portfolio are saved yearly.

Semester courses are completed by January 1st and two pieces of work is saved.
