PARTNERS IN EDUCATION

Many thanks to all of you who have brought snacks for Wynnton Arts Academy! You have helped in supporting our Partner in Education.

STOP HUNGER NOW

On April 6, we had 123 people who came to help put together 10,152 meals. It was an inspiring sight. We had lots of fun while serving God. Through our fundraiser, contributions, and Allen Temple’s contribution, we raised the $2944 needed for this project. Thank you to everyone who made this possible.

Wynnton UMC Scholarship

The Scholarship Committee announces the awarding of scholarships for 2016. The Seminary Scholarship has been awarded to our Associate Pastor, Rev. J Grantham. Our General College Scholarships have been awarded to Hannah Croft, Emily Hearn, Ben Edwards, Graham Johnson, and Ruthann Tincher. The Committee extends it congratulations to each of the recipients.

Midtown Classic Needs You

Finger foods are needed (sand-wiches, deviled eggs, cookies, muffins, veggies, chips and dips, peanut butter crackers, nuts, etc.) to help the Midtown Classic 5K main-tain its reputation for having the best after-race party in town. Sign up in your Sunday School class, in the hallway by the Fellowship Hall, or call Ralph and Nancy Hammond (706) 568-3958. Bring food to the church Friday, April 22, or Saturday morning, April 23.

We also need a few more adult volunteers to help with racecourse management. Call Ralph or Nancy for details.
