APPLICATION FOR TERTIARY AND TECHNICAL, VOCATIONAL TRAINING SCHOLARSHIPS.

1. SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS 2020- 2021

The Solomon Islands Tertiary Education and Skills Authority (SITESA) through the National Scholarship Division (NSD) and the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development (MEHRD) is pleased to advertise and invite applications from Solomon Islands Citizens only for one of the 1000 Scholarship Awards that will be made available in 2021. These are full awards funded by the Solomon Islands Government with the aim to train its citizens with relevant knowledge and skills that

would support economic and social growth and prosperity in the country. The details of the spaces for each category and location of academic institutions are indicated in the Scholarship Information sheet, which all applicants can access at .sb.

Applicants can apply for qualification levels from certificate, diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate studies in one of the priority areas listed in the Table below which is extracted from the 2020-2021 National Education Training Plan:

It is a requirement that all Applicants must apply and pursue admissions from academic institutions as prescribed in the National Education Training Plan (Opportunity List) and successful applicants to present evidence of admission (offer letters/admission letters) from the Academic Institutions to NSD by end of January 2021.

4. SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS

Applicants are expected to read and understand the categories of scholarships from the Scholarship Information sheet. This information sheet can be downloaded or accessed at the SITESA website.

5. Scholarship Application Forms

All applicants are to access the online application form and perform all task requested, upload required documents. When you have registered, you can fill the form, save and return at any time to your online application form till it is completed and submit.

6. Opening Date for application: 8th December 2020 7. Closing date for all Applications is Sunday 31st 12: midnight of January

2021.

Please note: Prepare your scanned certified documents in ample time in

preparation for 2021 scholarship application opening date. To avoid disappointment, submit your application 5-10 days before

the closing date. Please note, the system will automatically close at 12 midnight on Sunday the 31st of January 2021. 2022 Scholarship Opportunities for In-country, Regional and international scholarships will be opened for application by May 2021
