Nursery Rhyme / Children’s Story
1. open a blank PowerPoint presentation, and save it as “Nursery Rhyme_lastname”
2. you will need to email a copy and upload a copy to synergy to the extra credit folder
3. You will make a minimum of 6 slide PowerPoint presentation on a nursery rhyme or children’s story. You must take an original story, and change it. I will give you an example in class.(example: Old mother Hubbard lived in a Hotel, and gave her kids crème brulee morning noon and night) You are taking an original nursery rhyme and changing what happens to the characters, and can also change the characters in the story.
4. you must include the following in your presentation:
• a different slide design (background) on each slide
• a clip art on each page – should relate to your story
• word art and different bullets
• different font colors and styles on each page
• a word art on the title slide which includes your name, story, date, and period
• each page should have text on it and a picture
• your title slide only needs to include your name, date, period, and name of your nursery rhyme)
• animation, slide transition, and an action buttons
• sixth slide is the source slide with links to your graphics and web resources that you might have used
Examples of nursery rhymes: Little Miss Muffet, , Hickory Dickory Dock, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Itsy Bitsy Spider,etc, Hey Diddle Diddle, Humpty Dumpty, etc..
Examples of Nursery Stories: Little Red Riding Hood, The boy who cried wolf, 3 little Pigs, Hansel and Gretel, etc, the ugly duckling, 3 billy goat’s gruff.
