Dear Parent/Guardian,?All Southwest Elementary students participating in the Title I, Part A program, and their families, agree that this compact outlines how the parents, the school staff, and students will share the responsibility for improved student academic achievement. The compact describes how the school and parents will build and develop a partnership to ensure students achieve the Georgia’s Standards of Excellence in each grade level and content area.?JOINTLY DEVELOPEDThe parents, students, and staff of?Southwest Elementary?collaborated to develop this school-parent compact for achievement.? Teachers suggested home learning strategies, and parents added input about the types of support they needed from the school and staff. Parents are encouraged to attend annual revision meetings held in the spring each year to review the compact and make suggestions based on student needs and school improvement goals.?
