Dear Parents/Guardians of Seniors:

In the weeks ahead, Starpoint will conduct a number of activities and programs that relate to seniors. Please review the following information with your child.

There is no such thing as “Senior Skip Day”

There is a strong correlation to consistent school attendance and academic success. Starpoint High School does not schedule or condone senior skip days. Students who are absent from school are not eligible for extra-curricular activities for the day they are absent.

All seniors attending the prom are required to take part in the SADD program at the Kenan Center in Lockport on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm. Students are required to bring a lunch to the program.

• Dress is formal – formal or party dresses and tuxedos/dinner jackets, dress shirts and ties.

• Teachers, administrators, and deputy sheriffs will chaperone all evening.

• All escorts must be in at least ninth grade. No eighth grade or younger student is allowed to attend the prom.

• Non-Starpoint escorts attending with your child must receive prior approval through the High School Office.

• The prom favor this year is a 4x6 picture frame. Legacy Studios is the prom photographer and will be available to take and print 4x6 pictures on site at a cost of 1 picture for $5.00, 2 for $7.00, 3 for $10.00, or 5 for $15.00. • Appropriate clothing must be worn underneath the gown.

• Only diploma covers will be handed to each graduate on stage. Diplomas can be picked up in the high school student dining room immediately after the ceremony.
