Give us a teachable spirit to receive guidance and instruction from our coaches, a spirit of unity to work together as a team, the strength to persevere through the contest before us, your wisdom to overcome the challenges set before us, your peace which surpasses all understanding, and humility to accept defeat or victory. We pray for the safety of every player that has set foot on this field of competition. No matter the outcome, we pray that you will receive the glory and honor in all that we do. We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.C.VISIONOur scholar-athletes will fully declare their love for Jesus, family, and school. The athletics program will train and equip participants to be the victorious champions they are called to be, walking in the Word of God and living a life of integrity unto Him. We will demonstrate “a Mind for Truth and a Heart for God” as servants, stewards, scholars, and statesmen. We will advance His kingdom utilizing the gifts He has given to each of us.D.MISSIONOur athletes will be unashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, taking His Truth and promises from the classroom to the community. Employing the principles of discipleship, our goal is to equip our athletes with excellent skills, perseverance, and Christian character, which will enable them to meet challenges on and off the fields of competition. We will represent all that we stand for and believe at Christian Academy - “One God, One Vision, One Team!”PHILOSOPHY“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15: 57-58 (NKJV)“Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown”. I Corinthians 9:24-25 (NKJV)“And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” Colossians 3:17 (NKJV) We recognize the Word of God as the foundation for athletic participation. We will be set apart from all others in the leagues in which we participate for His Glory. Our love for Jesus will not be suppressed or conformed to a humanistic worldview. We have been called to be His disciples to all nations. Our character will be beyond reproach, and our teams will reflect Christian values. Every athlete learns that s/he is a representative of Christ, his/her family, and the school. Our coaches will set the example of excellence, living their lives in a way that honors God.We seek to develop the scholar-athlete physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
