For centuries, people have attempted to "reckon the number of the beast." This passage from Revelation chapter 13 can be cleared up with some simple numerology. What is numerology? It is a discipline that examines numbers and their relationships to that which is. Augustine of Hippo stated that "Numbers are the Universal language offered by the deity to humans as confirmation of the truth." Indeed, math is a universal language that transcends the words of languages in the sense that anyone, no matter what languages they speak, can understand anyone else in terms of math and numbers. Numerology is but one cipher to the encoded language that is truth.

Rev. 13:18 reads "Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666"

Indeed, here IS wisdom, for anyone who knows Truth can solve the riddle. Of course 666 is the number of a man. It is the number of ALL human beings when their minds have yet to reach their potential. So how does numerology help us decipher the symbolic number? In several ancient traditions, the digits 0-9 are very special symbols that have very particular, occult meanings. To decipher 666, or any number for that matter, we must reduce it to one of the original ten digits.

First, add up all the digits of 666 in order to find a cross sum.

6+6+6 = 18

Then add the 1 and 8 from 18 to achieve a single digit.

1+8 = 9

Thus, we see that 666 reduces (even though we used addition... paradoxical isn't it?) to the single digit "9." What is the meaning of 9? Anyone initiated to this system of counting already has their minds blowing. For the uninitiated, I will explain through more math.

As we can see, ANY number multiplied by 9, will resolve back to 9 when you add up all of the digits composing the product. No other digit does anything so bizarre. 9 is a number of pure egoism. It is selfish. It rebuilds the universe in its own image. It thinks it can supersede the infinite Creator.

Thus, the digit 8 is an upright lemniscate, and a symbol of the infinite potential of Truth. To some, it's the digit representative of God. Imagine that this digit 9 shows up and thinks he's hot stuff. In reality, 9 is just a jackass pretending to be greater than he is. We all know someone like this . . . It's VERY easy to see what 9 REALLY is underneath that flashy, wannabe exterior. Invert a 9 and you end up with 6. Non-initiates, admit it. All these years you thought these symbols were arbitrary bits of art didn't you?

One last thing about 9: 666=18=9 999=27=9

So why 666 and not 66 or just 6? Or why not 9? What about 5? As we've seen, 666 reduces to 9. 9 is the symbolic number of the ego -- the guy inside of us who says "I want to be the best! I want this! I want that! MINE! ME! I! The ego is usually the one we listen to just before getting into some kind of trouble, particularly for children. In adults, the ego tends to force one's mind to focus on the self and to ignore others.

Extreme selfishness can even affect the way we think. Solipsism is the philosophy that the only being that exists is yourself because you cannot be sure that anyone else exists. It is a poisoned philosophy that leads to extreme selfishness since the adherent literally believes him or herself to be the centre of the universe. Solipsism was the initial sin of the Gnostic Demiurge. Abandoned in a realm of chaos, he thought himself the only being in the universe, and thus proceeded to build a creation that he would rule.

In summation, 666 is the number of a human being whose mind is not unified and whose actions reflect that lack of harmony. It is an animal or "Beast" mind that cares only for itself, like a beast trying to survive another day in the wild. All minds must seek to develop into 777 (which is why this is used in the gambling industry as a "lucky number") which means both aspects of mind work harmoniously, and the being acts with integrity. In other words, a 777 is akin to a Christ.

Incidentally, 777=21=3 and 3 represents the Holy Trinity of Divine Mother, Divine Father, and Divine Child: intuition, intellect and action produced by cooperation from the integrated halves of mind. Yes, this is a special bonus. You now understand the meaning behind the symbolic trinities of every religion. Whether it's Osiris, Isis and Horus, or Father, Son and Holy Spirit, or any other.

777 is also equivalent to 111. 1 is the digit representing unity; unity of both sides of the mind and their cooperation to produce harmony and an environment where their child can develop to its full potential. The intuitive, subconscious mind picks up on ALL symbols that the rational mind doesn't focus on. It deciphers what these symbols mean, and once they've been absorbed by the psyche, even if not focused on, they influence us. They become part of our thinking, even if not part of our rational thinking. Colours and symbols affect the brain's physiology. In this way, advertisers market to us subliminally. Sex sells, but it cannot be out in the open for fear of backlash and social stigma. Thus, sexual symbols are propagated that our intellect can't decipher, but our intuitive minds read these symbols like we read words in a book.

The only trick is being able to know which interpretation to apply at a given time given the particular circumstances.
