O365 Exchange Online SOD

INTRODUCTIONMicrosoft Exchange Online is a hosted messaging solution that delivers the capabilities of Microsoft Exchange Server as a cloud-based service. It gives users access to email, calendar, contacts, and tasks from PCs, the web, and mobile devices.DET and participating agencies that subscribe to Exchange Online retain control over the messaging services they offer to users, but no longer have the operational burden of on-premises server software. Exchange Online is hosted on servers that support multiple customers simultaneously. These servers are housed in Microsoft data centers and are accessible to users on a wide range of devices from inside a corporate network or over the Internet. What is included Anti-spam and anti-virus protectionIntegrated fax capabilitiesHigh availability of e-mail through multiple database copies and multiple data centerEnterprise-wide electronic calendaring and resource scheduling with agencies in the SOW O365 tenantEnterprise-wide Global Address ListsUnlimited Archive MailboxesDelegated Administration for agency e-mail admins and security adminse-DiscoveryLegal HoldWhat is not includedAgency specific E-mail Administration. Cost-saving tipsThis service offers unlimited archive mailboxes. As such, agencies could develop a policy that all Outlook .pst files be copied into their staff’s unlimited archive mailbox, thereby reducing the file storage footprint attributed to Outlook .pst files. In addition, agencies could then disallow the creation of Outlook .pst files via group policy so that all e-mail can be available for e-Discovery purposes.notes:Document Revision HistoryDateVersionCreatorNotes9/16/20161O365 Production Prep Project TeamInitial version ................
