Each student at International School is given a laptop so our supply list might be less or different than what you may be used to. 6th Graders will receive a plastic homework folder. Your student will be taking 7 classes with 7 different teachers who may require different supplies. Teachers will let your student know what specific items they will need for their class during the first few days of school. Here is a list of general items that will be useful for the first few days of school.
General Items for the First Few Days of School
▪ Lined 3-hole Notebook Paper - College ruled OR Spiral Notebooks
▪ Pencils - Wood or Mechanical (Please NO small pencil sharpeners)
▪ Pens
▪ Highlighters - Pink, Blue, Yellow
▪ Eraser
▪ Ear buds
▪ 6th graders: a wireless external mouse is highly recommended (please mark with student’s name)
Calculators
• Purchase of a calculator is not required. Your student may borrow one for the year from their math teacher. If you wish to purchase your own, below are the recommended calculators:
• 6th grade math (IMT1) the students should not be buying or using a calculator.
• IMT2 students should have a scientific calculator.
• Algebra/Chemistry and beyond students should have a TI 83 or 84 model graphing calculator.
AP WORLD HISTORY (GRADES 9/10): Please purchase enough to last the entire school year
• 6 Highlighters: purple, green, blue, orange, yellow AND pink (NEED ALL SIX)
• Multiple DARK Blue OR black fine tip pens (Ballpoint or gel, NOT POROUS)
• Multiple pencils (mechanical okay)
• A large eraser
• 2 Porous Fine Point Pens (NOT Dark Blue or Black) for grading, Papermate Flair is a good brand)
• Pencil Pouch
