| |Original official from Ohio. Officiated both HS and collegiate games (including NCAA championship game) as well as NCAA | | |

| |football. One of the 1st “quality” officials in MI. | | |

| |Brian Effinger - Brian Effinger entered the world of the Michigan lacrosse official from a very different direction than |Contributor | |

| |Roger Pattee.  Brian was born and raised on the east coast and was immersed in the game of lacrosse from his childhood.  | | |

| |Having played the game through high school (and college, I believe) gave Brian a perspective that many (if not most) of our | | |

| |native Michigander officials lacked and would have to acquire - that of appreciating the flow of a game and the emotions and| | |

| |personalities of the players and coaches involved.  Not only did Brian know the rules and apply them appropriately; he also | | |

| |was able to foresee and prevent problems with timely comments or warnings to players and coaches.  I have never seen a Brian| | |

| |Effinger officiated game unfold in to anything other than what one would consider to be a model contest.  He is punctual, | | |

| |professional, and comfortably in control. | | |

| | | | |

| |Additionally, Brian has always availed himself to help improve our sport through officials' training.  He provides his | | |

| |knowledge and presence at camps - addressing your youth in our game "as seen through the eyes of the official."  He answers | | |

| |all questions and gives great advice; and without fail, refuses any stipend for these services.  He has also successfully | | |

| |battled medical conditions and injury to continue as one of our finest officials.  And he has officiated many MHSAA playoff | | |

| |and championship games throughout his career. | | |

| | | | |

| |He, too, is very deserving of consideration for the MHSLCA HOF. | | |

| |Graham Adams |Contributor |US Lacrosse MI |

| |Official and contributor to the sport. Coach and earlier, a player of Detroit/Windsor Lacrosse Club, in 1980’s. Founder and | |HOF |

| |trainer MLOA. | | |

| |Roger Pattee - Roger entered the world of lacrosse as an accomplished official in other MHSAA sports (football and |Contributor | |

| |basketball at least).  He brought an understanding of the appropriate role of "official" as someone who facilitated the game| | |

| |and assured | | |

| |the safety of the players without becoming a focal point himself.  He quickly and steadily improved on all aspects of | | |

| |lacrosse officiating through study, practice, and application; and soon became one of those officials that I was "relieved" | | |

| |to see show up for a contest because his presence meant that at least one of our officials would know what he was doing and | | |

| |would keep the game under control. | | |

| | | | |

| |More importantly than Roger's knowledge, mechanics, and application, was his movement in to officials' education in the | | |

| |state.  Many officials enjoy giving back to the sport and find officiating a good way to do so and make some money besides. | | |

| |Roger extended his investment by becoming instrumental in conducting clinics and mentoring new/young officials on good | | |

| |officiating.  He has served as a leader of MLOA - the major officials association in the state - and is significantly | | |

| |involved in the MHSAA and MLOA Officiating Clinics over time.  He also is a "regular" at the joint Coaches-Officials | | |

| |Pre-Season Meeting at the MHSAA in E.Lansing every spring and has worked numerous MHSAA playoff and championship games over | | |

| |the course of his career. | | |

| | | | |

| |He is very deserving of consideration. | | |
