High School Groups - TeamUnify

PLEASE READ THIS INFORMATION!!

Parents and swimmers – the information below was presented to those parents that were available for a meeting held on August 26th. At the bottom I have added to it the fee/training schedules for the upcoming season.

I’m especially excited that we have the use of the Westerville Recreation Center pool during our pre-season from 3:00P to 5:00P. This will allow us to expand services to more area high school swimmers and alleviate some of the crowding at the JC pool during this period.

High School Groups

Three groups – why?

High School training group – athletes that want to train with a group of dedicated swimmers of like abilities and goals. High school season is very important, but the USA Swimming schedule is also a priority. Most if not all will swim during the summer months. Swimming is not always the only sport, but generally the one they are comparably the best in.

High School Only – athletes that want to use the club and association with dedicated swimmers to pre-condition themselves in preparation for the high school season. These swimmers will train full time with their high school programs as soon as high school season begins. Many of these swimmers are in transition to becoming very dedicated and successful swimmers that like swimming with their high school teams or in some circumstances are required by school/coach policy.

Senior Group – made up of athletes from the high school group that have chosen swimming as their number one sport and have committed to training year round and full time. Their goals go beyond what high school swimming has to offer and generally make up the WAC National Team. They are expected to be leaders in and out of the pool.
