The Constitution of She’s the First at The Ohio State University (STF Ohio State)Article I.STF Ohio State?is an independent student-led campus chapter of the international nonprofit organization She’s the First.The purpose STF Ohio State is to promote the importance of education equality and global citizenship at STF Ohio State. Through fundraising events, STF Ohio State will provide academic scholarships to girls in low-income countries within the She’s the First partner network.Article II.Membership in STF Ohio State is open to any student enrolled and in good standing with STF Ohio State.Article III.STF Ohio State will work to fulfill the expectations of an official campus chapter, as established by the She’s the First organization. These expectations include:Hosting two fundraisers for girls’ scholarships per academic year.Maintaining at least one active social media account.Appointing one member to participate in monthly Global Awareness Program discussions.Responding to surveys from She’s the First headquarters three times per municating regularly with an assigned Chapter Mentor.Sending at least one representative to the STF Summit in New York City each summer or participate virtually as a chapter.Article IV.The executive board of STF Ohio State will be comprised of six members: President,Vice President, Treasurer, Social Media Chair, Marketing Chair, Community Engagement Chair, and a Philanthropy Chair.Duties President: University coordination, weekly emails, and semester long planning. Duties Vice President: Bi-weekly meeting planning, semester long member-retention planDuties Treasurer: Manage finances, update roster Duties Social Media Chair: weekly social media posts, responding to message requests Duties Marketing Chair: create tri-folds and flyers for events Community Engagement Chair: plan monthly volunteering events and social events, plan collaborative event with another organization once a month.Article V.The executive board officers of STF Ohio State will be elected annually by a majority vote of active chapter members. Officers will be responsible for attending no less than 75% of all chapter meetings and events, in addition to fulfilling the duties outlined for their respective position. If the elected officers do not fulfill their requirements, the chapter has the ability to vote on whether or not the elected officials will remain in their position.Article VI.STF Ohio State will hold meetings no less than twice per month and no more than once per week. Chapter meeting dates will be determined by the executive board and distributed to the full membership at the beginning of every semester. Changes to the schedule will be emailed no less than one week before the scheduled meeting.Article VII.STF Ohio State members must pay a membership fee of $10/student at the start of each semester. Executive board officers reserve the right to waive the membership fee for any student who submits a request in writing within two weeks of the first chapter meeting of the semester. Membership fees will be collected via cash or check and will be used exclusively for chapter events, fundraisers, merchandise, or essential club operations.Article VIII.This organization and its members shall not discriminate against any individual(s) for reasons of age, color, disability, gender identity or expression, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or veteran status. ................
