Winter Break

December 23 – January 3

The students will not have school from December 23 to January 3 for the winter break. We will resume school on Monday, January 4, 2021.

Moby Max

Please continue to encourage your child to get on Moby Max. It is a fun and engaging way to review math concepts while also preparing for the state AIR math test.

Moby Max can also help your child excel in math fact fluency. Math fact practice can be accessed in Moby Max under the title ‘FACT FLUENCY.’ Students should practice 5-10 minutes each night. All practice will help your child increase proficiency with math. Moby Max can be accessed with any online device.

Your child can also practice using regular flash cards purchased at many stores, flash cards from school, or other online practice and games.

Homework

Reminder, homework is posted on Canvas, which can be accessed from student iPads. Homework is assigned on Mondays and due on Fridays. If you or your child has any questions about how to complete homework, please feel free to give me a call. I will welcome the opportunity to clarify any assignment.

Math

The following are the concepts students will be able to say they can do by the end of the quarter:

I can solve basic division facts.

I can solve division story problems.

I can solve division problems with remainders.

I can interpret a remainder in a division story problem.
