2021 General Information

February 19 - 21, 2021 (Friday ? Sunday)

Girls ? Division, 5th Grade Division & 6th Grade Division

GlenOak High School, Oakwood Middle School. Glenwood Intermediate School, Taft Elementary and Middlebranch Elementary in Plain Township - All gyms within a 10 minute drive. 3 games guaranteed.

We will take a maximum of 16 teams in each division. All division brackets and game schedules will be posted on our website () the weekend prior to the tournament. No mailings will be sent.

Community teams comprised of players living in the same public school district or residing within the limits of the same city, village, township or other geographic district. The tournament director reserves the right to review all rosters and make final determination as to compliance with this rule. Players must be in the designated grade or younger (i.e. a 4th grader can play on the 5th grade team). Report cards or other info may be requested for verification. No AAU Teams.

Must be filled out completely on the tournament website () by the registration deadline. Team rosters are limited to 12 players and 3 coaches per team on of which is required to work score board.

Individual trophies, medals or shirts will be awarded to the champion and runners up in each division.

$4.00 daily for adults. $2.00 for all students and senior citizens. All rostered players and three coaches will be admitted free.

2021 TOURNAMENT RULES

Pool-Play Format Each Team guaranteed 3 games Pool champion automatically advances to playoff round The Tournament Director reserves the right to cancel games if weather or unforeseen circumstances arise.

Each organization and individual participant in the tournament must be covered by their own organizations and their own individual insurance policy.

Each team must supply their own jerseys with numbers on both front and back. If two teams have the same color jersey, the visiting team must change color. Home team will be listed first on the schedule.

Ten (10) foot baskets will be used in all divisions. Youth basketballs (28.5" high school girls) will be used. Each player must carry their game shoes into the gym.

Each coach should report to the scheduled game location thirty (30) minutes before game time. Tournament officials reserve the right to start any game up to ten (10) minutes early as long as the teams have received sufficient warm-up time. No grace period. If unforeseen circumstances arise, you must contact the Tournament Director immediately.

(In case of a forfeit, the winning team's total points given up in pool play will be calculated by taking the average of the points given up in the other 2 pool play games and adding those to the total points given up in the 2 pool play games.)

Game schedules will be updated and posted on our website . We will post all results as the conclusion of each game. It will be your responsibility to check the website for the time and location of your next game. There is an area for comments on our online registration site to indicate special scheduling requests. We will attempt to schedule around reasonable requests that are indicated on our form, such as personal obligations or other league games.

Any player, coach or fan ejected from a game will be asked to leave the gymnasium for the balance of that game and the following game.

2021 GAME RULES

Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) rules apply except where noted.

All officials will be OSHAA certified. Once the game begins, the officials control the game. The Tournament Director has no authority to overrule an official's ruling. No protests!

The tournament will provide a scorekeeper and a timekeeper for each game. The official scorebook will be kept at the scorer's table.

Games shall consist of two (2) 13 minute halves with a three (3) minute halftime. The clock will stop on all whistles. The first overtime period shall be two (2) minutes. In pool play, the second overtime period will be sudden death. The first team to score in the second overtime wins. In bracket play, teams play as many two (2) minute overtime periods as necessary.

Each team receives two (2) full timeouts per game and one (1) additional timeout for each overtime period.

3rd / 4th Grade Division: Any form of defense is permitted. Full court press is only allowed in the final 5 minutes of the 2nd half. A team may not press if it is leading by 15 points or more.

For 5B teams, full court press is only allowed in the 2nd half. A team may not press if it is leading by 15 points or more. 6th Grade Division: Any form of defense is permitted. Full court press is permitted the entire game. However, a team may not press if it is leading by 15 points or more. All Divisions: When pressing is not permitted, the first illegal attempt to do so will result in a warning. The second and all subsequent violations will result in a two (2) shot technical foul.

If the lead exceeds 20 points in the 2nd half, the clock will run continuously until the team reduces the deficit to less than 20 points.

3rd / 4th grade teams may shoot from 12 feet. All other divisions shoot from the regulation 15-foot foul line. However, 4th grade teams will be permitted to cross the line on a follow through, but the shooter cannot be the first player to touch the rebound. 5th and 6th grade teams may not cross the line on a follow through.
