Section 1 ? Introduction

This directory has all the YCCO medical providers and pharmacies. If you don't have a primary care provider (PCP), you can choose one from this directory. If you don't choose one, we will choose one for you. You can fill your prescriptions at any of the pharmacies in the directory. Your PCP may need to ask for prior approval for certain drugs.

Primary Care Providers (PCP)

You should get most health care from your PCP and they will tell you if you need other types of care. Other types of care may be x-rays, lab tests, or specialist care. Your PCP may need to do a referral or ask for prior approval for some services. Your PCP will work with the other providers you see and ask for updates about care you have received. YCCO suggests that you choose a PCP close to your home. Having your PCP nearby can make receiving medical care easier. The PCP section is organized by city or town then the type of primary care they provide. If you have questions or need help choosing a PCP, call our Customer Service. We want you to like your provider. If you want to change, call Customer Service.

Specialist

If you need to see a specialist, work with your PCP. You need a referral to a specialist. If you have questions call your PCP or Customer Service.

Out of Network Providers

If you go to an out of network provider for non-emergency services without prior approval you may have to pay for it. If you receive a bill from an out of network provider, call Customer Service.

Out of Town Care

If you need care when you are away from home, call Customer Service. When you are out of town we only cover urgent or emergency medical care and care YCCO has approved.

Emergency Care

Get medical help as soon as possible. Call 911 for help or go straight to the nearest emergency room. As soon as you can, you or your representative should call your PCP about your emergency care. Make sure you get the follow up care you need from your PCP.

Do not go the hospital for care that should be given in your provider's office. If you are not sure if it is an emergency, call your PCP's office.

Second Opinions

We cover second opinions. If you want a second opinion about your treatment options, ask your PCP to refer you to another provider. If you want to see a provider outside our network, you will need to work with your PCP to get prior approval.

How to Find a Provider or Pharmacy in the Directory

The directory is set up in sections based on the type of provider. The primary care provider and specialist sections are set up by city, specialty then in alphabetical order by provider last name.
