| |Throughout our Social Studies Units #3, #4 & #6 and Empowering writing |

| |lessons we will develop our map & globe skills and learn about the world |

| |around us. The students will locate places on the map/globe; learn about |

| |landmarks and North, South, East & West. |

|Please continue to read at home with your child! The goal is to read 100 minutes per month, |During the month of December, we will briefly discuss different countries |

|but of course, they are always welcome to read more than that! When they bring back their |to learn about their winter traditions. We will learn about each |
