Invitation for Prequalification of prospective Indigenous Vendors for Manufacturing & Supply of MS UNDER GROUND TANKS

"Pre-Qualification Notice Tender Ref No: CPO / MKTG / PQ / GP-4-1/ 2011-12 Due on 10.02.2011 at 1500 Hrs"

1. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) would like to procure approximately 3000 Nos under Ground Tank (UG Tank) of various capacities (i.e.10 KL / 15 KL / 20 KL & 45 KL) for their Retail Outlets, Depots and customer premises all over India on Annual Rate Contract basis. BPCL is looking for short listing of Indian Vendors with their own manufacturing base backed by sound technical infrastructure & financial capabilities in India.

This tender invitation is for submission of Pre- Qualification (PQ) data along with supporting documents from the vendors meeting the qualifying requirements as stated in Annexure I of this document. The format for additional information (general data) about the vendor is Annexure II.

The vendors must submit their data, and supporting documents to establish their qualifying credentials only at BPCL's e-procurement site (). The procedure to enroll, pre-requisites to participate in tenders at BPCL's e-procurement web site and contact details of our service provider is given in Annexure III of this document.

2. Vendors who are already enlisted and doing similar jobs with BPCL also need to apply afresh. Vendors who are on holiday list with BPCL need not apply.

3. Vendors should also be in a position to produce further information as and when required by BPCL.

4. BPCL at its discretion reserves the right to verify/re-verify the information submitted and inspects the Vendor's facilities to confirm the data submitted/ capabilities.

5. BPCL reserves the right to reject any /all applications without assigning any reason there-of including incomplete information, past performance with the other companies etc.

6. BPCL will evaluate the proposal based on data / documents provided by vendor and data / information available with BPCL.

7. BPCL decision on any matter regarding short listing of vendors shall be final and any applicant shall not enter into any correspondence with M/s BPCL unless asked for.

8. The Main tender document/s viz. invitation to submit techno-commercial and priced bid shall be issued only to the "short listed Vendors" who qualify all criteria of pre-qualification. BPCL reserves the right to decide on the number of vendors to whom the main bidding documents to be issued.

BPCL Requirement 1.The Vendor should be a manufacturer of Steel Tank / Steel Fabricator and not a trader or agent of manufacturer. (Are you a manufacturer: Yes/No) 2. The vendor should have fabricated at least 50 nos. Steel tanks of capacity greater than or equal to 10kl OR fabricated 300 MT or more of Structural Steel in any one of the four financial years (i.e. 2007-2008, 2008-09, 2009-10 and 201011) from the works from where they intend to supply tanks against the tender.)
