Choosy Genders

This activity will help students understand how the evolutionary approach to gender development and mate selection currently impacts our behaviors, thoughts, and motivations. For each question, circle one answer. These situations represent choices that at some point we might have to make or have to think about making.

1. You are on a cruise ship sailing the Pacific Ocean and suddenly there is a major catastrophe and you and your children are on board. You find out there are not enough life jackets and you can only save yourself and one of your children. You have a six-year-old and a two- year-old (both of the same sex). Who do you save and why?
