One Line Sermons:

Often, silence does more harm to the truth than do lies.

Too often, we interpret scripture to fit what we already believe rather than adjust what we believe to scripture.

Atheism is not nearly the enemy of Christianity that indifferent Christians are.

Christianity is more than a faith system; it is a way of life.

Bibles that are falling apart usually belong to people who aren't.

A theory is a hunch with a college education.

God can accomplish surprising results with imperfect but yielding people.

If a tombstone is all that's left to remind the world we've been here, it's a grave mistake.

If you turn green with envy, you are ripe for trouble.

Praying frequently helps us pray fervently.

Many folks are more concerned with having their name stamped on the outside of the Bible than with having their hearts stamped with what's inside the Bible.

It takes courage to cross some bridges, and wisdom to know which ones to burn.

A true friend knows when to listen and when to talk.

People cannot change the truth, but the truth can change people.

If your problems are long-standing, or deep-seated, try kneeling.

'Tis better to be alone than in bad company. God doesn't call the qualified; He qualifies the called.
