8 LEARNING AT EVERY STAGE OF YOUR LIFE

The program for me was life changing. It was the best three weeks of my life; meeting new people, living in the dorms, taking college level courses, getting college credit and creating life lasting bonds."

Intensive English Summer Scholars Program

CONTINUE.MIAMI.EDU/IEP

Three-Week Residential Non-Credit Program

International high school students experience student life on a diverse North American college campus, while improving their English language skills in preparation for college.

This course provides students with an opportunity to improve their English language skills including listening, reading, writing, speaking, and presentation skills. Students practice English through themed instruction which focuses on Art and the City, Miami People and Places, and the University Experience. Program participants will meet with the University of Miami Office of Admission, write a college essay, and explore local history and culture through field trips.

International high school students enrolled in the Intensive English Summer Scholars Program live in a residence hall on-campus with Summer Scholars Program students. They are integrated in all Summer Scholars Program activities, which provide an ideal opportunity to immerse themselves in campus culture with students from the United States and around the world.
