Job Description

Title: Account Service Representative

Status: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Member Service Manager

Position Purpose:

To assist members with all aspects of opening, servicing and closing all types of accounts offered by the Credit Union if Denver. Provide enthusiastic, professional, and courteous service to all CUD Members.

Essential Duties:

1. Participate in weekly rotation for coverage of the Alameda front desk.

2. Open, close and perform maintenance on member accounts.

3. Prepare accurate and complete membership documentation for all types of accounts that the credit union offers according to established procedures in compliance with Federal, State and NCUA Regulations.

4. Cross sell credit union products and services including loans and credit cards. Meet established loan referral goals on a monthly basis.

5. Assist members/staff with questions and/or problems about accounts, loans, deposits, investments and new products & services.

6. Process online check orders and debit card orders for the membership.

7. Process incoming mail or dropped off documents for the Member Service Department and efaxes from the Call Center including Verifications of Deposit.

8. Open, close and maintain safe deposit boxes and serve as vault attendant.

9. Complete internal payroll adjustment and direct deposit forms. Process affidavits of forgery for checks, ACH’s and debit card disputes.

10. Complete the account re-number process.

11. Open, close and maintain IRA accounts to include input into IRADIRECT.

12. Assist members with Decedent, Estate, Living Trust, Transfer to Minor, Representative Payee and Business Accounts.

13. Participate in Saturday rotation at the Alameda Branch.

14. Responsible for compliance with the Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act (FACTA), the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the Anti Money Laundering Act, including monitoring for such illegal activity as it applies to this position.

Other Duties

1. Provide notary service.

2. Relieve front desk as needed.

3. Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

|Education: |A high school education or equivalent. |

|Work experience: |One year to three years of similar or related experience required preferred. Experience with online data |

| |processing and PC desired. Previous credit union experience preferred. |

|Knowledge: |Thorough knowledge of financial products and services. Knowledge of office equipment required. |

|Skills and mental abilities: (with|Good written and oral communication skills. Legible handwriting, tact and |

|or without accommodation) |diplomacy, able to maintain confidentiality, and analytical ability required. |

| |Possess initiative to resolve problems with good judgment. |

|Material and equipment used: |PC, telephone/voice mail system, typewriter, fax machine, 10-key calculator, |

| |copier and printers. |

|Work environment: |Office environment. |

|Physical activity and abilities: |Requires manual coordination and vision to operate PC, typewriter and calculator. Hearing necessary to |

|(with or without accommodation) |receive and reply to member inquiries. Ability to speak clearly to communicate with members and employees |

| |in person and on the telephone. Must be able to work in a sitting position for long periods of time. Some |

| |bending, stooping, reaching and lifting (up to 20 pounds) is required. Ability to frequently move to |

| |various locations within the building. |
