2 Introduction.

This is one part of a series that will improve your online business. Have you lost will to learn and earn a decent wage online. Don't!!!

I will teach you, giving several examples, aiming to provide to those with different learning styles. Online marketing is on the rise and if you want to earn working from home and online, then, you need to know, how to do so. I am here to teach you the simple way. We will take one step at a time.

Set aside 20 minutes per day. I will guide you to get your website up and running. You will learn to publish your own website with ease. You will find that by applying no less than 2 concepts per day, your website will be developed without strain to yourself and your family. Applying two concepts is all you need to do.

They say that to make money you need to spend money. You do!! But you do not have to spend a lot to do so. I have devised this online learning for those who want to learn and profit from their online business. Without an Auto-Responder you will not be able to grow your email list, without your E-Mail list you can not grow. I will explain each term as we go along.

This part of our E-book will optimize your traffic source (again, explanation coming). Without your traffic source you can not grow. I will teach you to organise yourself without the headaches of attending a college or having to pay out for it, you will be guided step by step.

Lets begin and guide you gently through it.

Creating an Auto-Responder and an E-Book is a 'Valuable Free Gift'.

4 File sizes

Certain files have different sizes, such as

E-Books.

Videos.

Webpages.

Those sizes are in;

Bytes.

Kilobytes.

Megabytes.

Gigabytes.

Explaining the file sizes:

Smallest is a Byte

Next size is kilobyte.

Next size up is Megabyte.

Next size up is Gigabyte.

1000 Bytes = 1 kilobyte.

1024 kilobytes = 1 Megabyte.

1000 Megabytes = 1 Gigabyte

For example a '4' megabyte image from your camera photo is far too large to upload.

6 Image Size.

For websites and especially E-Books, if your image size is too big it will take too long for the document to load and that alone will loose you your impatient client who would love thing there and then.

Keep images as small as possible.

Keep images under 100 kilobytes.

Otherwise your page would take too long to load up.

2 So how do we know size of image?

Go on image and right click on it and then click on properties and it will tell you what size it is.

Also, as a good tip, you ought to save your images in jpeg format as jpeg photographs are of better quality than gifs. As gifs- tend to only have a few colours, they are often for the purpose of animation.

So, go to your file and go to your 'Pictures' then click on the image, right click it and then scroll to properties where arrow is showing and the next box will show.

And where I have circled it in red, you will see that the image is no more than 32 KB, way below it maximum of 1 Mb.

3 How to keep image a certain size.

Trying to keep your image size below 1 megabyte, you will probably need to resize your image and especially if they are over 1 megabyte (1Mb).

Resizing Images.

Usually you are making it smaller. Often we tend to think that sizing it by clicking on it and making it smaller would change the size, well, it does not.

!!!!Common mistake-

By clicking and dragging on, this reduces the dimension (cm or pixels) not the file size.

What you need to do is look for a free download and install the software to resize your images.

As an example I have chosen irfanview.

Software – irfanview

So, either click on link provided above this sentence or google it and go to the first one and down load it.

Download it to desktop.

Install it by following and clicking the next buttons and then you should see the successful download and installation marked as done.

After this procedure, always 'Restart' your computer/laptop.

4 Using the new installed software.

How to Set New Size of Image.

irfanview changing dimension will change size.

Correct size would usually be width-300 and the height will change the dpi but don't worry about the terminology.

DPI (DPI stands for Dots Per Inch which technically means printer dots per inch. Today it is a term often misused, usually to mean PPI, which stands for Pixels Per Inch. So when someone says they want a photo that is 300 dpi and what they really mean is that they want 300 PPI. )

Remember to save your image as jpeg rather than leaving it as a number, it is beneficial that you name them.

When it comes to SEO, it's important to use acceptable keywords to help your web page rank on search engines. Creating descriptive, keyword-rich file names is absolutely crucial for image optimization. Search engines not only crawl the text on your web page, but they also search for keywords within your image file names.

Describe your images in plain English, just like you do for image file names. Within the HTML, such as in Wordpress, you can view the HTML.

7 Here are some simple rules when it comes to alt tags:

If you sell products that have model number or serial numbers, use them in your alt tag.

Do not keyword stuff your alt tags

(for example: alt="ford mustang muscle car buy now cheap best price on sale").

Don't use alt tags for decorative images. Search engines may penalize you for over-optimization.

Finally, always do a sanity check of your website from time to time. View the source of your webpages and check to see if your alt tags are filled out.

8 Back to sizing your images!

Try to get your images to less than a 100 kb.

10 How? Simple follow the following images that I have made and resized.

11 Step 1.

Go to your desk top and look for the teddy bear image I have made a white arrow point too.

Then, as on the right image, once you click open irfanview programme you go to file and scroll to where your image is saved and my image is saved in the blue highlighted box, Pictures.

Step 2 – Choose your named image and press the 'Open' button.

Step 3 – Go on Image and scroll to Resize/Resample and click on it.

Step 4 – 1) 'Set new width. 2) Tick 'Preserve aspect ratio'

Click 'Resample' as shown on image.

Press the 'OK' button.

Step 5 – Don't forget to save it as a JPG – JPEG file. Press 'Save' button.

Simple, there was nothing to fear, I hope this step by step support has helped.

1 Domain Name.

A domain name is an identification string that defines a realm of administrative autonomy, authority or control within the Internet. Domain names are formed by the rules and procedures of the Domain Name System (DNS). A name registered in the DNS is a domain name.

It can be purchased on a yearly subscription from £ 1.00 to under £ 3.00.

2 Host Account.

A web host, or web hosting service provider, is a business that provides the technologies and services needed for the website or webpage to be viewed in the Internet. Websites are hosted, or stored, on special computers called servers.

Some, come free with templates such as Wordpress, Yola, Wix or Rubrix and many more.

4 Zipped folders.

Zipped folders are for those who will be creating their own websites or are sending document via email and rather than sending individual documents they are all put into one and zipped so it is not such a big document.

Zipped folders contains files that have been reduced in size.

Zipped folder is quicker to download and then you need to extract it.

Common mistake is not to unzip it.

So, click on zipped file and once it has been unzipped, you can then delete the zipped folder and you are left with the unzipped folder and the individual documents.

Everything that you want to use for your website must be saved in the same folder.

Name it.

Now start adding more pages.

With Wordpress click on 'My Site' on the top of your page, on the left hand corner and there a side bar that will appear on the left hand side.

There, you will find a list.

On this list, you will find 'Pages', click on 'ADD'.

If you are not on Wordpress and you are creating your own website then do the following.

Either Google filezilla or click on my link that comes after Download.

Download filezilla.

3 How to upload files to your created websites or how to add pages.

Uploading.

So once we have downloaded and installed fileZilla a box will show several boxes.

At the top is a host, there you add your ftp.domain & host name.

In username, you write the username of your domain.

In host box, you do nothing.

Click Quickconnect.

Adding Pages

But if you have website such as Wordpress or yola, you will not need filezilla. You could upload your images, documents, videos and E-Books as 'Media'.

1 Why download filezilla.

Without filezilla you can't upload E-Book on your own created website.

So normal composers can be basic.

When you use filezilla, save files in all files.

To delete, go to filezilla uploaded files and click on it and simply delete it.

How to Add Pages on Wordpress

Left hand, top corner, 'My Site'.

Where circled red → there is a circled 'Add' button.

Press the 'ADD' and you have your new page.

How to Add your New Wordpress Page to 'The Menu'

On Wordpress go to 'My Site'

Go to menu.

Menu page will upload.

You will see pages.

Press edit – where you can see an image of a small pencil.

Follow through and click remove.

Once that is done, scroll to the top of the page.

Click 'SAVE'.

When you have chosen one, remember to 'Save' on the blue box above on the top right hand side.

If you should choose 'Add Menu Item Above' it will organise your page menu to enter directly above the one you chose.

If you should choose 'Add Menu Item Below' it will organise your page menu to enter directly below the one you chose.

If you should choose 'Add Menu Item to Children' it will organise your page menu to enter next to the one you chose.

Chapter 3.

How to Monetize your Website.

Build a list, don't go selling immediately.

A website is not a business.

A business is about clients.

So, this step is vital.- A List.

How to make online money.

Mindset-how can I provide value.

Valuable free gift will generate trusted clients to your website.

This report only needs to be relatively short.

However it must provide value for your visitors to your website.

Something around a minimum of 8 pages long, it is quality not quantity.

Creating an E-Book.

Look in 4 Main sources of contents.

Public domain.

Forums.

Private label rights.

Articles.

Public domain.

What it means. Free contents for us all to use.

So type in public domain migraines. Migraine association...

Lots of info.

So, lets say we use U.S. for migraine and use this free info and add images with it.

Forums.

Google your niche and look at what people are asking.

Search in forum for a powerful message that you could use, something that catches your eyes.

You are looking for a thread with lots of responses.

Therefore, you could you that content for your report.

Private Label Rights.

You can credit yourself as the author.

The unpaid is ok but paid is better.

PLR store, where there are some you pay for and some free ones.

You don't have to rewrite PLR articles but if you personalise it

and search your niche.

You can not use content word for word but you can use it for inspiration and remember to cite where you have got your information from as otherwise it is plagiarism.

Chapter 4.

Create an E-Book.

How to convert a document to an eBook.

Then, uploading the eBook online.

So, your document of your information.

Begin with your font, look at 'Gorgia and use font size 12.

create headlines and use colours.

Once you have formatted your document, find a title for it.

Title should be something that resonates with you, something that connects with you.

So, something like 'Smash your Migraines into a Thousand Pieces'.

Use theosorus, and look up ideas for your E-Book.

Great fonts for titles/headlines- Tahuma

remember to use Heading 1 for major title and header 2 and so on. You can find this on top left corner of your word documents, where it is written 'Default'.

Now think about images-free images and paid images or your own images.

Free images.

Public domain images as they are free.

Don't forget where to save this image.

Save it in your project folder.

On Wordpress you can upload your image and it will store it and you could use it again if you wish.

Don't forget to check the size.

. You have to register and pay for each image.

Unsplash have both free and some need paying, they are usually in various sizes and quality.

E-Book Cover.

You need image for cover.

You could try 'Canvas'/ Hloom or create your own with an installed free download that could help you make a professional 'Book Cover'..

Think hard for your book title.

Title is usually in speech marks, so, it looks professional.

Converting Word Document Into a PDF File

To do so, you need to download a free PDF converter and install.

So Google Primo.

However, should you have an Open Office Writer, then, on your task bar you will see a little square button with the motif 'PDF'.

Installing your E-Book needs to be converted into a PDF file first, then upload it to your website.

then convert document into PDF, if you are using Primo, you need to go into print it, then select primo PDF save in 'Specific Folder' and then into Desktop or where ever you have chosen.

Then when document is converted go to filezilla and upload your PDF file onto your website or upload it to your site with their media tools.

Then, go to your site and get the url and this will be the link you give to people when they sign up for an email account.

You can also merge two PDF documents, free, online.

You can convert your PDF document into word with other various free download software, however, it is easier to get it right from the beginning.

They are PDF editors download software but be careful as they often have watermarks.

1 What is URL link?

URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator, and is used to specify addresses on the World Wide Web. A URL is the fundamental network identification for any resource connected to the web (e.g., hypertext pages, images, and sound files).

URLs have the following format: protocol://hostname/other_information.

Chapter 5.

Squeeze Page.

Understanding the Purpose of Your Squeeze Page.

1 Squeeze Page.

It is a page that is designed to build your email list.

Important point for this page is that is it not to sell.

This page must only be simple and free.

The audience visits on their own and need instant attention.

Hence; KISS.

Use no more than 19 words and do the 3 Copy writing;

what you have,

what it can do,

tell them what do there and then.

To do this look for benefits of your E-Book.

Add some check marks.

Usually a green or red check.

Either find it on Google or on your word document.

The audience are the ones that visits your Squeeze page. So, you have to drive traffic to the Squeeze Page. So, when your audience has sent the email. A message should then say that they need to confirm. This is where the 'Auto-Responder comes into the process.

As my example I have chosen to use my squeeze page slightly differently.

I have decided to use one of my photos and here you could use a different scale such as a watermark.

So, remember 19 words.

Wording for example such as on a shampoo bottle, reviews or what is on your page need to be kept simple.

Remember, the following;

KISS- Keep It Simple Stupid.

Talk to people, for example; use third person, e.g. Hi, this is Seekers...

Prospect.-is somebody that has assigned to your list, a customer.

Chapter 6.

1 Creating the Confirmation Mail.

When they opt for free gift, they then receive a thank you and here, they confirm that they want the free E-Book.

Confirmation E-Mail, on Squeeze page if they opt for it, they then should see a

'Thank You Page'.

Once they get the thank you page they will be directed to their email and there, they will confirm.

If using Aweber, go to my list and confirm 'OPT LINK', most of it in Aweber it is mainly already pre written. You can customise it, on Aweber they then check it.

Remember your copy write, write in e.g. 'Hi, I am Seekers...'

if you are doing without the Aweber, then, do a web page with the message that links together. Use the domain site name and email address the same. Then, you can utilise your email responder with a Thank you message and give them a link if they do opt yes which you could link them back to the download page. The download page could be from a second page of your website that you used for your Auto-Responder.

Click to link.

A box will come and go to where your eBook is.

So, where it says click right, highlight it and go to link button and when your box turns up choose your document, e.g. PDF and follow through.

Same with please click here to email me, repeat the above process and when box turns up write your email address.

Chapter 7.

Uploading the Download and Thank You Page.

Upload the 'Thank You' and 'Download page'.

Configure the opt in form.

Drive traffic to your page. This is achieved by the recipient opting for your free product and hence, they become your prospect client.

So upload 'Thank You' and 'Download page'.

The 9 line Aweber code is needed here, if you have used Aweber.

You can upload 'Thank You' and 'Download page' with Filezilla or if you use Wordpress, just press media button on your web page and it will request which document you want, and then choose your document.

Also, you could have

2 Creating Your First Message.

Unzip the contents and upload the entire bft-autoresponder directory to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory

Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in Wordpress

Configure the sender address and other options from the main page accessible from the newly appeared "Arigato Light" menu.

Manage your email messages and mailing list.

In order to send automated sequential emails every day your blog should be visited at least once daily. If this is not happening, please set up a cron job to visit it using the command shown in your Arigato Light Settings page.

4 To set up a Download page without your plugins.

Set another website page in the domain name you desire and an E-Mail address with the same name as your domain name.

You can then link your new website page to your first website by following the link to using the button 'My Site' and then scroll down to and press 'Setting'. There on the right of the screen you will see '+Add a Custom Address'.

1 How to Add a Contact Form with Shortcodes

You can add a basic contact form using the following shortcode:

Add to Pages, Posts, or Widgets – Contact forms can be added to pages or posts, or if you copy the generated code, you can add your contact form to a text widget.

Forms are customizable – Contact forms can be customized. You can add and remove fields, choose which fields are required, change the email address, or change the subject settings. The form’s appearance can be further customized with CSS.

Edit an existing form – To edit an existing form, edit the post or page from WP Admin, then click “Add Contact Form.”

One per page – Each post, page, and text widget will only display one contact form.

Remember, email is not secure – Do not use contact forms for sensitive information like credit card numbers, as the information will be transmitted by email.

Built-in spam filter – We filter submissions through Akismet to fight spam, then add them to your feedback management area, which is accessible to Editors and Administrators on you site. We also email a copy to you.

Reply back – If you would like to reply back to a contact form submission, you will need to use your own personal email to do so. You can reply back with a custom email address by creating an account with an email provider.
