Advice for job seekers transitioning into Digital Employment ServicesThe Department of Education, Skills and Employment is trialling a new way to deliver employment services. Under the New Employment Services Trial, many of the appointments or activities you would have done face-to-face with an employment services provider, you can now do online through .au.The Trial gives you more control over how you manage finding work and the tasks you need to do to continue receiving your income support payments.You may have some face-to-face contact with a provider, but you will do most activities online and with support from the Contact Centre.What can I expect from Digital Services?Digital Services is for job seekers who are job-ready and digitally literate. You will get the tools you need to search for a job and meet your requirements in exchange for your income support payment. Digital Services includes:access to online tools to help you make informed choices about meeting your requirements, including job searcha contact centre to help answer questions and provide advice via phone or emailjob seeker assessments to ensure that you continue to receive the right service for youaccess to an online jobs board, job matching and training modulesYou will complete and report your requirements online.Am I eligible for Digital Services and how do I start?You may be eligible for Digital Services if:You are ready to start workYou do not need specialised help from an employment services provider to find workYou live in a Digital Services location: suburbs and towns south of Adelaide, ortowns and cities across the mid north coast of New South WalesYour current employment services provider will meet with you to:explain the new arrangements for Digital Servicesmake sure that you are able to access and use Digital Servicesidentify training to develop your digital skills if neededTo start Digital Services, you will need to re-confirm your Job Plan online at .au/jobseekers. If you and your provider decide that Digital Services is not right for you now, you will stay with your provider. You can transfer to Digital Services at a later date if your circumstances change.
