Dictate with Office 365 in WordThe Word app in Office 365 allows you to speak your text. You will need Windows 10 and an internet connection.Go to CMU’s website: in to MAVZone.In Applications, select Office 365.In the Office 365 apps, select Word.In Word, select New blank document.In your new document, click on Dictate.Note: The language is probably set to English (U.S.) by default, but you can change it as needed by clicking on the dropdown menu. Once Dictate is listening for your voice, it will change to a white mic with red dot.If you move to a different application, you will need to turn Dictate back on when you return to Word.Begin dictating your text. You will probably need to do a bit of editing with punctuation, etc. (You may choose to speak your punctuation, such as “period” or “open quotes”.) You may edit as needed while you are dictating or when you finish.Click Dictate again if you wish to stop. The mic will change back to blue.Remember to Save your document. ................
