1. Situation. The publication of this Manual synchronizes the Marine Corps Human Resources Development Process. References (a) and (b) are the authoritative guidance used in development of this Manual and policies outlined therein.

2. Cancellation. NAVMC 1200.lF

3. Mission. Update military occupational specialty (MOS) manual to enable the Total Force Structure Management System (TFSMS) and the Marine Corps Total Force System to accurately manage the inventory of Marines trained in the required skills to meet unit mission requirements.

4. Execution

a. Commander's Intent and Concept of Operations

(1) Commander's Intent. Commanding Officers of schools and all personnel associated with the MOS system shall make all MOS changes as summarized in chapters 2 and 4, officer/enlisted conversion guidance, and as further guided by reference (b), and separate implementing communications.

(2) Concept of Operations. This Manual defines occupational specialties found on tables of organization in TFSMS that lead to generation of the authorized strength report containing information enabling the Marine Corps to carry out its assigned mission to organize, recruit, classify, train, assign, and manage the force.

b. Summary of Revision. This revision contains substantive changes. There are new officer MOSS created in occupational fields {OccFld) 73 and 80. There are new enlisted MOSs created in OccFlds 45 and 80. Officer MOSs 0691 and 4602 have been deleted. Enlisted MOSs 0691, 1372, 2612, 2613, and 6077 have been deleted. There are MOS title changes in officer OccFlds 17, 59, 73, and 88; and MOS title changes in enlisted OccFlds 06, 08, 09, 17, 26, and

60. There are no grade structure changes in officer OccFlds. There are grade structure changes in enlisted OccFlds 17, 26, and 55. There are other significant requirements and prerequisites changes in officer and enlisted OccFlds: 02, 03, 05, 06, 08, 09, 13, 17, 21, 26, 30, 31, 44, 45, 46, 55, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 65, 66, 73, 75, 80, 82, 87, 88, and 89.

c. Subordinate Element Mission. Headquarters, Marine Corps M&RA, Marine Corps Combat Development Command (MCCDC) Director Total Force Structure Division (TFSD), Commanding Officers of schools and all personnel associated with the Marine Corps occupational system must ensure adherence to the policies, updated requirements, and prerequisites in this manual.

d. Coordinating Instructions. Submit all recommended changes or modifications to MOSs, OccFlds, or policy referenced in this Manual, to the Commanding General (CG), Training and Education Command (C 466), 1019 Elliot Road, Quantico, VA 22134-5001, via the appropriate chain of command. 5. a. Command. This Manual is applicable to the Marine Corps Total Force. As directed by reference (b), separate MARADMINs will be published to provide additional implementing guidance.
