• It’s Project Time!!! There are 5 different projects listed below, all on the topic of Order of Operations.

• Your job is to pick ONE project, complete it, working to the best of your ability.

• This project will count as a test grade.

• Your project is due Monday, October 24th!

• Come to class with any questions and ask us if you need supplies for the project.

Good Luck!!!

1. Create examples of five different order of operation problems students have trouble computing. Create a poster display that shows the problems and strategies for completing them correctly.

2. Choose any prime number greater than 11. Create a mobile for your number that includes multiple complex methods of obtaining your target number.

3. Create a children’s book that makes order of operations fun, understandable, and applicable to student’s real lives. Include at least two creative problems in your book.

4. Create an order of operations brochure that explains how to solve complex multiple step order of operations problems. Include various examples to assist your explanation.

5. Create a short class lesson that teaches students an alternate ways to remember the order of operations. Allow plenty of practice on both simple and complex examples.
