Revised Flood Insurance Rate Maps

From Lincoln County, Cities of Newport, Lincoln City, Waldport, Yachats and the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians.

You are receiving this notice because records indicate you own property in or near a revised flood hazard area.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has revised flood hazard zones within Lincoln County and the Cities of Yachats, Waldport, Newport, Lincoln City, and the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians in the following river areas:

Alsea Salmon Siletz Yachats Yaquina

These revisions reflect updated information and recent engineering studies.

Revised maps for these areas are available for public review and comment. These maps will help community officials and local residents identify flood risks and, once adopted, will be used for flood insurance, land use, and development decisions.

Representatives from FEMA, Lincoln County Planning, the Cities of Yachats, Waldport, Newport, Lincoln City, and the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians will be in attendance and available to answer questions and provide more information.

Property owners are encouraged to review the revised flood maps. They are available on the Lincoln County Planning Department website at: . The process for providing comments or requesting a map change will be discussed at the May 18th, 2017 open house.

If you would like a custom flood map for your property, please contact Lincoln County Planning Department at 541-2654192 and provide your name, full property address and parcel number (if available). Maps will be available for pickup at the open house.
