ART TEACHER; Grades K-12
Position Description:
Prairie City School District #4 is a K-12 school with 152 students. Position requires candidate to hold or be eligible to hold an Oregon Teaching License, authorization to teach grades K-12, and endorsed in Art. Other endorsements such as Reading, Drama, Music, and Computers are a plus. Position is 1.0 FTE and currently entails teaching 1 period Elementary Art, 1 period Middle School Art, and 3 periods of High School Art.
Prairie City School District takes great pride in its small community school and is looking for an educator with the skills to work collaboratively with the administration, staff, and community in enriching the educational system in our school district.
About the Area and Community:
The city of Prairie City is located in the upper end of the John Day Valley in beautiful Grant County, Oregon. The community consists of a population around 990 people and is bordered to the south by the scenic Strawberry Mountains and adjacent to the John Day River. Prairie City’s community is dotted with cattle ranches and is in the middle of some of the greatest hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation areas in Eastern Oregon.
Salary Range: $34,937 - $66,729
