On Wednesday, April 10, 2019 (snow date April 11th) the 20th Anniversary of Y2Kids Careers from A to Z Program

will be held at the U.S. Army 2nd Aviation Detachment hangar at Stewart International Airport from 9 am to 2 pm. It

will be a day of hands-on, interactive career exploration activities geared for middle school kids, their parents and teachers!

Over the years we¡¯ve been doing this our amazing volunteer Career Specialists have reached over 30,000 kids! More than

2,000 kids from area schools are expected to participate again this year in the hands-on, interactive career exploration

activities geared for middle school kids. The Orange-Ulster BOCES Career & Technical Education Division

coordinates the Y2Kids Program on behalf of all the schools and students in our area. There is no cost to participate

because contributions from local sponsors help cover operating expenses. Our thanks to the Sponsors and Contributors

listed in this publication whose generosity has made the event possible. If you love what you do and are willing to

share your expertise and experience for all or a portion of the one day program, please consider volunteering.

Detachment B and the Stewart 105th Airlift Wing (those planes sure bring a lot of excitement to the mix). Thanks also to

the folks at Stewart Airport Operations and Security for working with us to keep our students safe as well as happy.

Congratulations to our area school districts who recognize the value of having kids learn about local career opportunities

and bring them to the event to explore their future career options. A small glimpse into the future can be enough to stay

focused and on track through high school!
