Program

Every eligible employee must electronically sign the statement verifying their eligibility and acknowledging the receipt of Teacher Classroom Supply Assistance via the Employee Portal prior to receiving the funds.

Eligibility and Requirements

?Must be a "Classroom Teacher", whose full-time or job-share responsibility is the classroom instruction of students in grades K-12 and hired on or before September 1st, 2017. OR ?Guidance Counselor or Media Specialist serving students in grades K-12 and hired on or before September 1st, 2017.

?If you are a full time employee you will get the entire calculated amount. ?If you are a part time employee then you are entitled to half the calculated amount. ?You must electronically sign the statement acknowledging the Teacher Class Room Supply Assistance prior to receiving the check at your school site. ?If you are currently out on leave, when you return to work it will be your responsibility to notify your secretary that you would like your funds to be issued at that time and they will contact the Budget Department.

Eligibility and Requirements

Per Florida Statute 1012.71 the funds must be used as follows: "The funds appropriated are for classroom teachers to purchase, on behalf of the school district or charter school, classroom materials and supplies for the public school students assigned to them and may not be used to purchase equipment. The funds appropriated shall be used to supplement the materials and supplies otherwise available to classroom teachers."
