Weather it was a grandparent, a parent, son or daughter or close friend, death impacts everyone’s life differently and it is important to be empathetic to those experiencing it, as well as not being afraid to grieve because of it. In times of loss, common feeling are ones of sadness, anger, disbelief, anger and guilt. These feelings are normal. Understand that mourning is healthy and the expression of these feelings are expected. Don’t be afraid to be emotional because at most times it will make you feel a little better. It is normal to look to others for support, in addition it is also normal to shut others out.
