We are excited about our upcoming family reunion June 15th - 17th in Arlington, TX. We are planning a lot of fun activities for the whole family and we hope you ALL can attend. Some of those outdoor activities include Domino & Spade Tournament, Talent Show, Ball Games, Boating, Fishing, Kidz Zone and more. Some of the indoor activities include Concert, Banquet, Dancing, and Church!! Here is the tentative schedule of events:

TO GET STARTED… Please read the attached information carefully and submit forms and payments as soon as possible. Feel free to make copies for other relatives.

You can participate in activities or you can sit and relax in conversation. The most important thing is that you be there to share your life and your memories. Our family has a rich heritage that needs to be explored with our younger generation because it is said that you can’t know where you are going if you don’t know where you came from.

We hope you will reserve these dates to come renew acquaintances with our family. Please pass along copies of all of this information to other family members as soon as possible. We look forward to seeing you and your family on June 15th thru 17th!

HOTEL

The Hilton Garden Inn will be at the center of our activities. It is located on 2401 E. Lamar Ave. in Arlington, TX, 76006. Twenty rooms have been blocked at for anyone who is interested in staying there.

PRICES

*Registration fee - Family: $80.00 (Initial Registration for official head count)

DEADLINE: This fee must be in by May15, 2012.

Adults: (18 +) $80.00 (Meet & Greet, Picnic, Banquet, Sunday, T-Shirt)

Children: (13-17) $40.00 (Meet & Greet, Picnic, Banquet, Sunday, T-Shirt)

Children: (4-12) $22.00 (Meet & Greet, Picnic, Banquet, Sunday, T-Shirt)

Children: (0-3) $ 5.00 for T-Shirt $0 for Meals

Each t-shirt form has up to 10 order blanks. Be sure to include each person’s full name, age, and size.

DEADLINE: These fees must be in by May 29, 2012.

*Accommodations - Hilton Garden Inn $109.00 per Room, Per Night (Monday Family Rate)

$149.00 for King Suite w/pullout

(These prices are based on 20 rooms blocked - 4 per room)



You will be responsible for making your own hotel arrangements and payments. Travel Agents are available to assist you with your travel, hotel, and transportation needs. There are over 10 hotels and motels to choose from in a 2 mile radius of Hilton Garden Inn.

If there are any families in DFW who are interested in opening up your home to guests, please sign in on the Open House List.

TRANSPORTATION

If you are interested in carpooling to help defray travel costs, please contact your committee coordinator. During the reunion, the Monday Family will have the use of Go-Go Express Transportation service to get to our event destinations.

MEMORIAL

If you would like your loved one to be included in the memorial, please send photos along with the memorial form by May 19, 2012. Please send duplicate photos only!

It is important that each family member be represented accurately on our family tree. Please fill in all blanks on the family tree form. If you want to include photos, please indicate the name of the person(s) and the year the photo was taken on the back (if known). Please send duplicate photos only!

ACTIVITIES

FRIDAY:

Meet & Greet – Once you have gotten into your room, please come to the Ballroom at the Hilton Garden Inn to sign in. This will be the nerve center of the reunion. Once you have signed in, you will be free to lounge and swim in the facilities, as well as to sightsee or shop. Above all, you can talk til you are blue in the face!! Your time will be yours until 7 pm when we will all come together in the Ballroom for the official WELCOME!

SATURDAY:

Picnic – This will be the opportunity to continue to get to know each other, but in an outdoors setting. Some of the organized events will include:

Dominos Tournament – Participants need to register upon arrival. Participants will compete as individuals.

Round 1: 16-48 players, 4 per table

Round 2: Winners of Round 1

Final: 4 highest scores from Round 2

Spades Tournament –Participants need to register upon arrival. Participants will compete as partners.

Round 1: 16-48 players, 4 per table

Round 2: Winners of Round 1

Round 3: Winners of Round 2

Final: 2 highest scores from Round 3

Talent Show/Jam Session – All ages are welcomed to perform. The talent show will last for one (1) hour. Participants will need to register upon arrival. Once the one (1) hour criteria has been fulfilled, registration will be closed. Each performer will have 3-5 minutes to showcase their talent. The talent categories will include but not be limited to singing, dancing, mime, spoken word, instrumental, or comedy. If your presentation is not listed or if your performance is less than 3 minutes, you will be contacted by the talent coordinator upon receipt of your entry form. No performance may include profanity or vulgarity of any form!

Banquet – This will be a formal occasion where we will gather in one room and fellowship. This event will include getting photos taken, dining, watching a memorial video, making recognitions, giving awards, and dancing the night away.

SUNDAY:

Church Fellowship – Sunday School will begin at 9:00 am. Morning worship will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. Church Supper will begin following morning worship service.
