Where to Get Camping Equipment in Hong Kong

Stanley Market has at least one shop that sells camping equipment. Some parents have in previous years purchased inexpensive headlamps from a man with a stall near IKEA (about 100 yards to the left at the top of a small lane as you are facing IKEA). All of the following stores claim to sell at least one type of tent, sleeping bags, cooking and other camping equipment. As with all things in Hong Kong, location and merchandise change constantly, so please call first before heading out!

Baden Powell International House:

The BP International House is also known as the Hong Kong Scout Centre, run by the Scout Association of Hong Kong. The Association is housed on the 8th and 11th floor. There is a museum and a Scout Store on the 11th floor where you can buy camping equipment, lightweight backpacks perfect for younger people, outdoor clothing and other camping equipment.

Nature Outdoor Equipment

Anything you might want to trip on the wild side can be bought here. Nature Outdoor sells tents, stoves, cooking equipment, shoes, backpacks and sleeping bags. A wide variety of brands and prices are available and should you want a particular model that is not in stock, the salespeople can order it for you.
