3.0 Water Contact Hours for Drinking Water Operators Course no. 7921

Background: EPA Method 334.0 is a quality control protocol for online and handheld/benchtop chlorine analyzers used to collect regulatory data. In Pennsylvania, all community water systems, all nontransient noncommunity water systems using chlorine, and any transient noncommunity water system using a surface water source or 4-log treatment of viruses for a groundwater source are expected to comply with Method 334.0.

This course explains the various requirements of Method 334.0, including applicability, basic QA/QC considerations, how to work with and dilute primary standards for analyzer verifications, and how to properly document all verifications.

Who should attend? Water operators and other system personnel responsible for conducting chlorine analysis for compliance purposes, including entry point and distribution monitoring, or for the calculation of log inactivation.

Due to class size, we ask that each system initially registers no more than two individuals.

Course Facts: Time: 8:30 AM to 12 PM Certified Operator Contact Hours: 3.0 (Drinking Water Operators only)
