It is our pleasure to welcome you as one of our new customers. At Records Research we strive to provide fast, accurate, and personalized information services. The staff at RRI is available to personally answer all of your questions regarding our services, your orders, or review your billing statement with you.
As a client of RRI, your company and its employees are required to comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the access and use of motor vehicle records received from the California DMV and all other State agencies. Compliance with the Drivers Privacy Protection Act (DPPA) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) regulations are also required. As a part of these regulations, a log of all DMV requests must be retained by your company for a period of five (5) years. This log must include supporting documentation that justifies the receipt and use of the DMV record obtained.
A “Sample Log” is provided in the “Forms” section on the records research website.
The individual designated as your company’s Security Manager is responsible for authorizing Users and monitoring security protocol for your business. User passwords are to be kept confidential and cannot be shared or used by another individual. Passwords must be changed every 60 days, or sooner. Please review the RRI Security Agreements that are a part of your Customer Agreement with RRI for more detailed requirements.
In an effort to save valuable resources, we utilize online/paperless billing. Payment is due by the 15th of the month and considered past due if not received by the end of the month. Payment can be made by Check, ACH, or Money Order. The ACH form can be obtained from our website, , by FAX, or e-mail. This allows for your payment to be automatically processed on the 10th of each month.
