We are a two-centred Practice serving two well-defined communities of Cove and Kincorth on the south side of Aberdeen with a list size of 12,763. We are a pro-active, close-knit practice who works in a busy but extremely supportive environment.

A bit more about us:

• We are both a Training and Undergraduate teaching practice

• We have purpose built premises in Cove where we are co-located with our Community Nursing Team and OT

• We are an innovative Practice adopting several new models of Care that support modern and improved Primary Care provision and with it an aim of optimised patient and staff satisfaction

• We have many attached services operating from our surgeries and integrating with our team — Primary Care Psychology, Counselling, Link Practitioner, Alcohol outreach, DPS, CMHT etc

• Our current clinical team consists of 7 GP partners, 7 Salaried GPs, 5 Practice Nurses, 2 HCAs, 1 extremely experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner, a Practice Pharmacist and a Primary Care Pharmacist

• Good onsite parking available at both surgeries

• We have a full complement of Nursing staff who lead in our chronic disease management including the running of diabetes, asthma and hypertension clinics and incorporating the House of Care approach

• Our team includes GPs with special interests in Education, Minor Surgery, Diabetes, Joint Injections, Allergies, Contraceptive Implants, IUCD Procedures and Occupational Health

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic new team member to join us!

We are looking for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Paramedic to work ideally full time (37.5 hours per week) but part time considered. We are willing to negotiate flexibility around days and hours of provision. We offer regular GP mentoring sessions with a practice mentor and will support regular clinical supervision in accordance with NMC Revalidation criteria. An allocation of study leave will be given in addition to annual leave. Salary is up to the top of Band 7 depending on qualifications, skills and experience. Start date negotiable with the successful candidate.

We are looking for someone to assist us with triage and surgery consultations around acute illness presentation within the Primary Care setting. Ideally the candidate will have the accredited RCN Advance Nurse Practitioner degree or equivalent, including non-medical prescribing and advance clinical examination skills. The practice would be happy to support the completion of the prescribing course for the right candidate. Primary Care experience is desirable but not essential.
