WFHS TRANSCRIPT REQUEST INSTRUCTIONSWest Fargo High School has partnered with Parchment? to make ordering transcripts easier for you. Parchment is efficient and will deliver your transcript to the colleges you choose in the format colleges prefer. This also includes the NCAA and the NAIA. Transcripts are sent through Parchment in a manner compliant with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) using the same Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology that powers today's online banking solutions.IMPORTANT TIPS WHEN REQUESTING A TRANSCRIPT? ALWAYS submit your college application BEFORE you request your transcript to be sent. ? ALWAYS use Google Chrome or Firefox web browser to provide optional functionality with .?You will need to sign up for a free account on Parchment?. Go to this link to create an account and request a transcript be sent to the college/university of your choice: signing up for a Parchment account, be sure to use your personal email address (not your school email address), as you will no longer have access to your school email after you graduate. Also make sure that your first and last name are spelled exactly the same as your name appears in PowerSchool. Sending of your transcript will be delayed if you register with a name that does not match PowerSchool. In the future, you will need to sign in to Parchment using the email and password you create when you set up your account.Also, ATTENTION PARENTS, it is best for students to create their own Parchment account (with their own email and password). This avoids account duplication problems within Parchment and allows students to use Parchment for themselves beyond the age of 18. ?The last step of the account set-up process has a box that is already checked that authorizes Parchment to store your transcript so you are able to view it. Leave this box checked. ?Profile survey questions may appear on the screen. You can choose to answer these questions or skip this option; answering these questions is not required. If you would like to skip this step, click on “ORDERS” to go directly to your transcript request.?When searching for the college or university to send a transcript to, make sure that you spell out the entire name of the school. Do not use acronyms.? It is important that YOU check that your transcript is accurate. Did you retake a class and receive a higher grade? Does your transcript reflect your highest ACT scores? If there are errors, contact the counseling office.?ACT scores appear on the bottom of your WFHS transcript.
