what is the exponent on x when you see an answer like x = 5?

What can you multiply any fraction by and get 1 as your answer?

3 #=1 4# 1

4 # = 1 5# 1

3 #=1 2# 1

7 #=1 1# 1

raise both sides of the equation to the reciprocal power... (power to a power says multiply exponents!) it will = 1!
