AVISO DE LA CIUDAD DE HOUSTON, TEXAS: ELECCI?N ESPECIAL PARA CUBRIR LA VACANTE DEL DISTRITO?K, S?BADO 5 DE MAYO DE 2018A los votantes registrados de la Ciudad de Houston, Texas:POR ESTE MEDIO, SE NOTIFICA que la Ciudad de Houston, Texas (la "Ciudad") realizará una Elección Especial (la "Elección") como se describe en este documento, el sábado 5 de mayo de 2018, mediante la cual se elegirá al siguiente funcionario de la Ciudad para cubrir un período no terminado del mandato:Concejal, Distrito KDía de la Elección, precintos electorales y lugares de votación La Elección se llevará a cabo dentro de los precintos y lugares de votación de la Elección según lo establecido y designado por la ordenanza de la Ciudad y tal como se establece en el Anexo "A" adjunto al presente documento y parte integrante de este para todos los fines, sujeto a los cambios que puedan ser necesarios. El 5 de mayo de 2018, los centros de votación estarán abiertos de 7:00 a.m. a 7:00 p.m.Votación anticipada en persona. La votación anticipada en persona se llevará a cabo en los lugares y durante los períodos establecidos a continuación en el Anexo "B" adjunto al presente documento y parte integrante de este para todos los fines, sujeto a los cambios que puedan ser necesarios.Personas con derecho a votar. Solo podrán votar en la elección los votantes de la Ciudad de Houston, Texas, que residan en el distrito municipal K y estén calificados por las leyes estatales y federales. Cada votante deberá votar en el lugar de votación designado para el distrito electoral en el que reside. De acuerdo con lo establecido en la Sección 43.130(a) del Código de Gobierno Local de Texas y la Sección 4.01 de los Acuerdos de Asociación Estratégica aprobados por la Ciudad de Houston, solo pueden votar en esta elección los votantes calificados de las áreas anexadas para propósitos limitados que residan en el distrito municipal?K.Votación anticipada por correspondencia.
