Job DescriptionPosition Title: Weekend Night AuditorReports to: Dow Hotel and Conference Center (DHCC) Management TeamJob Summary:Part-time (no benefits) night position works Saturday and Sunday 11:30 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. Primary duties are to analyze and process the daily work of the hotel and conference center while handling front desk operations (answer phone, check guests in and out of rooms). Basic office skills, an understanding of general math, experience using a computer along with bookkeeping/accounting a must. All Dow Center staff members must provide excellent customer service, be able to multi-task, perform job duties with attention to detail, speed and accuracy and be self-motivators who are able to follow instructions thoroughly. Staff members must be Team players and able to help with guest services and housekeeping as needed. Essential Job Functions:1.Proficiency in the hotel property management system and sales and catering module to fulfill requirements for:a.Checking guests in and out of the hotel.b.Making changes/additions to guest profiles. c.Posting charges.d. Process payments and charges in the computer and credit card machines.e. Reconcile daily credit card entries and advanced payments.2.Analyze and process daily work of the hotels (DHCC, RLL) and conference center.plete daily audit reports and sales sheets. Double-checking all work for accuracy.4.Generate client invoices and statements.5.Make coffee for guests and keep coffee equipment and area clean.6.Telephone coverage: answer phone in professional manner.7.Maintain confidentiality in all information.8.Assist the College Grounds crew in removing snow and ice from all Dow entrances beginning daily at 6:30 a.m. and periodically throughout the day and evening as appropriate. Snow and ice removal will be for the entire length of the east/west walk on all three levels and the north/south walk to the street.9.Clean and sanitize rest rooms during each shift. Cleaning includes fixtures, hardware, tile, mirrors, partitions and floors. Replenish supplies as needed.10.Maintain front lobby, upper and lower lounges, and hotel hallways by daily vacuuming, mopping and window washing. (Vacuuming and mopping of all public areas should be done during each shift and more often as necessary.) 11.Wash, dry, fold and store all DHCC linen in accordance with accepted and established laundry procedures.12.Facility checks – each evening to turn off lights and be sure rooms are locked.13Possess the ability to fulfill the requirements of a daily job list.14.Willing and able to work with flexibility in work hours, willing to cover for sick or vacation time, willing to work overtime as needed and remain accessible and available in the event of emergencies. Other Job Functions:1.Willing and able to perform any and all individual jobs required of the Weekend Night Auditor.2.Seek training to enhance or learn new skills.3.Adhere to all safety standards and work practices established by the College and report on-the-job accidents promptly. Attend all College safety training programs.4.Perform additional duties as supervisor may assign. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:1.Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and to effectively express ideas orally and in writing.2.Ability to work well with people, able to keep calm and remain personable under pressure.3.Able to complete job assignments unsupervised.4.Possess good judgment and maturity.5.Have basic knowledge of computers and basic office machines.6.Ability to bend, stoop, climb and lift. Requires average physical strength.7.Ability to operate department equipment or willingness to learn operation procedures.8.Knowledge of safety procedures and requirements or willingness to learn procedures.Personal Characteristics:The Dow Hotel & Conference Center interacts with guests, clients, College staff and students. Basic office skills, an understanding of general math, experience using a computer along with bookkeeping/accounting a must.
