DANTE’S PEAK is an example of a PG 13 Movie that we would watch. HOOT relates to the Ecology/Environmental Standards that we study. DANTE’S PEAK relates to the Science Standards about Earth’s Structures that we study in 7th Grade about Volcanoes and Earthquakes. If you do not wish your child to watch a particular movie like Hoot or Dante’s Peak, please email the teacher and let us know so that an alternate assignment Text Based Long Response Paper can be given for your child. We don’t know the dates yet but most likely it will be in Oct. or Nov. This is a county sponsored curriculum that goes along with our unit on Watersheds and Wetlands. You will be getting a permission form with details when I know the dates. We will need 2 chaperones per day. It’s free and fun, so be thinking about it if you’d like to come along.If you would like to volunteer for field trips and class activities you will need to be approved by the Pasco County School Board EVERY year. The form can be found on the Rushe website.
