VEHICLES IN A COMPANY NAMEA letter of authorization OR Power of Attorney is required for a person who is signing on behalf of a company when giving a plate or any title transaction. We need proof of the business address when the business is the purchaser of a vehicle. These requirements must be met BEFORE we can process the transaction. This requirement pertains to the following transactions:Replacement Plate, Over the counter Plate, Special Plate, Plate Transfer, Duplicate Title, Title Transfer when either buyer or seller is a company.An Authorization letter dated within the past 90 days can be given to an employee of the business. The letter must be on a typed company letterhead, however the body of the letter can be typed or handwritten. A Power of Attorney dated within the past 90 days can be given to an individual that is not an employee of the business by an authorized representative of the company.
