Parts of exam

• Exam covers Units 1-8

• Multiple choice (120 questions for Non-Honors / 140 questions for Honors) (60%)

• Written - (20%) You must do 1 of 2 essays (Honors must do both). You will not know until the day of the exam which you will be assigned. Possible topics are: a) Writing about excursions from section 6-2 using the past perfect tense and the future perfect tense or b) Writing about different professions from section 7-2 using the conditional with si.

• Oral exam – (20%) Will take place on Tuesday, June 8, 2010. You must prepare both topics and 1 will be selected that day. Possible topics are: a) Talking about websites and the internet from 5-1. Tell why you would like to join a chat room using the subjunctive with conjunctions at least 4 times (p. 277) or why you like using computers using the subjunctive with conjunctions at least 4 times (p. 277) or b) Tell about activities in the neighborhood from 6-1. Tell at least 4 things that you or your neighbors have done using the present perfect tense (p. 342). All orals must be the equivalent of 8 sentences in length. All students will have the same oral topic.

It is recommended that before the exam, you review vocabulary for each unit and review grammar points for each unit. Below is an outline of the grammar points. It is advisable that you fill in the outline in your own words on how various tenses are formed, etc.
