Pastors need our support and prayers like NEVER BEFORE as the day of our Lord's soon return approaches. It is true that they are ordinary men and Pastors have weaknesses like us all, however, the Lord wants us to pray for our Pastor, not gossip about him. The enemy attacks Pastors and the enemy desires to scatter "the flock". Anyone who works to build God's Kingdom, will be attacked, however, Praise be unto our God and King, Greater is He (JESUS) that is in us (the church) than he (the devil) that is in the world! I believe the Lord gave me this song to encourage ALL Pastors to continue in the work HE has called them to. The Lord Jesus desires for ALL His children to support and love one another and bear one another's burdens. I thank God for Pastors who are truly trying to reach this world for Christ and I know we are All called to be HIS disciples. As far as I know, few songs have been written specifically as pastor appreciation songs. However, I do know of some that might help you honor your pastor during a clergy appreciation service.

This song isn't specifically a pastor appreciation song. But, as the video shows, a little creativity turned Chris Rice 's song, " Go Light Your World ," into a beautiful tribute to pastors.

An old favorite that would work great as an appreciation song is by Ray Boltz. The song is, " Thank You. " I also wrote a pastor appreciation skit that goes with this song.

I did find a song that I'm pretty sure was written for a pastor. It is a song sung by Twila Paris , called, " Jesus in You. " You can find it on her " Where I Stand " music CD. The song is written to encourage a young pastor in ministry and so would make a perfect appreciation song for a pastor.
