Madam President's Report

September / October2021

Hello everyone, Well it looks like there will be NO Coffs/Valla this year

due to boarder closures. Thanks, COVID. Hopefully you have all sorted your current booking. Thanks to Chris Tramacchi and Debbie Taylor for organizing the Bundy run it looks like a great time was had by all. Sorry we missed it. Thanks also to each photographer for putting up pics on Facebook. Hopefully you are All staying safe and well. Unfortunately, this is the new norm so we have to work with it.

WE ARE HAVING A CHANGE OF TIME. We will be STARTING 7.30pm Wednesday 20th October Norman Park community center.

Our AGM was last month thanks to those that have resumed their positions which was everyone except for Steve. Bob Taylor is the new Vice President congrats Bob.

All northern correspondents can you please advise as to whether or not you wish to remain in those positions.

Restrictions due to covid will need to be adhered to so masks are necessary PLEASE and social distancing Thanks Covid. October meeting at our current venue (Norman Park Sports and Community Centre 43 Norman Avenue Norman Park) meals available. Meeting WEDNESDAY October 20th 7.30PM. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Mt Alford Hotel

Date: Sunday 24th

Meet Point: Behind McDonalds Goodna

Meet: 9am Leave: 9.30am

Meeting at usual spot behind McDonalds at Goodna for coffee and pit stop, before we head out towards Boonah to our destination at Mt Alford Hotel for lunch. There is a wide verity on the menu, from chips, burgers, pizza, seafood, schnitzels and steaks plus kids' meals. Prices range from $6 to $30 and from the pics on their FB page the food looks great. So, hope to see a good attendance of our members. See you there. Fingers crossed we get a nice sunny day.

Albert River Winery Run

Lovely sunny day for a drive, nice to see members that we haven't seen for a while attend the run, as well as members from The Enthusiasts Club. Moring tea was scones with jam & cream and members we able to stay and have lunch if the wanted.

GENERAL BUSINESS: 1. GT Nationals ? as everyone is aware the Nationals has unfortunately had to be cancelled, due to covid there was a lot of struggles to organise everything; Sharron thanked all of the subcommittee for their work over the last 2 ? years; we apologies that people got their

money back to them from the hotel before we could advise of the decision. Obtaining a full refund for the rooms that were booked was a major consideration for the committee; Sharron represented the club at the Delegates meeting who passed on their thanks for the work that was completed. Mark advised NSW are looking to have the GT Nations in 2023 at Bathurst and we are committed to helping the NSW club where we can; Tammy advised a lot of hours have been spent trying to organise everything and it is unfortunate that we had to cancel; the delegates were very supportive and understood why the decision was made. Entry fees ? the committee made a decision that by the end of September the entry fees will be refunded in full but we need everyone's bank account details so this can be arranged.

2. All committee members have stood down

3. New committee members have been appointed

4. Impromptu runs ? the rules for impromptu runs have changed; fines for driving your car when you shouldn't be when you are on Club Rego have also changed; it is up to club members to make sure they are within the rules. The committee has to work out the rulings for the club. If you are going to put up an impromptu run please follow the current rulings

5. Steve ? run is this weekend is to Albert River Winery

6. Coffs Valla ? a decision will be made at the end of this month if it is proceeding or not, it is up to individuals if they still want to go considering the Covid restrictions

7. Mick let us know Rockin' Jimmy's car show is this weekend
