To Navigate the Website: You have access to two separate features of the program: (1) an online version of the student textbook and (2) a link to the "Premium" digital resources. Both of these links are listed on the student's homepage.

1. From the student homepage, click on the blue link that says Mathematics Online Student Edition to enter the student textbook. Once you enter the textbook you can choose a topic from the Content menu to view. Each topic is then broken down into specific lessons (Ex: Topic 1: Numeration, Lesson 1-1: Place Value.) You can also type in the page number in the rectangular box at the top of the screen (between the two arrow keys) to turn directly to a certain page.

*You can turn the pages of the text using the arrow keys, zoom in or out of a page using the magnifying glass key, and choose to see one or two pages at a time using the single page view or double page view buttons.

*The circular "G" button at the top of the page will open an interactive glossary of math terms. If you press the speaker button next to the math term, the definition will be read aloud and any available animation will begin. You can also change the language selection to Spanish by clicking on the drop down menu in the top right corner.

*The circular "E" button at the top of the page will open a set of eTools, or virtual manipulatives. Students can use these tools to reinforce math concepts. (eTools requires the latest version of Adobe Shockwave Player.)

2. From the student's homepage, click on the black button which reads "Premium" to view additional online features of the program.

*The first button you will notice at the top of the page reads "To Do." Teachers who use this feature will list any assignments he/she would like the students to complete.

*The second button at the top of the page reads "Explore." This is the place where students can watch topic opener videos and animated descriptions of each lesson. Just simply click on a Topic Number and you will see a drop-down menu for individual lesson resources.

*The third button at the top of the page reads "Progress." This is the place where the students' status report will be listed based upon the activities/ tests teachers have assigned online. This will show no data unless a teacher uses the "To Do" assignment option.

*The fourth button at the top of the page which reads "A-Z," is another link to the online Glossary, and the fifth button, "Tools 4 Math" is another link to the eTools virtual manipulatives.

Please remember to log out before closing out of Pearson Success Net by clicking the "Log out" button in the top right hand corner of the page.

NOTE: Attached is a PDF document with information about everything your computer needs to run the program. If you go to the site, right below where you would log in, click the "check your computer's settings" link. It will analyze your computer and give you a visual display of green checks next to the items you have, and let you know what you still need to download.
