Foundation Scholarships

What is a scholarship? Scholarships offer financial support for your education and do not need to be paid back. Based on different qualifications (program of study or GPA), there are several opportunities open to CCS students. The Foundation has many donor-funded scholarships, so there's something for everyone! These scholarships range from a few hundred dollars to cover the costs of books or testing fees to a full year's tuition coverage. This booklet outlines the Foundation Scholarships available to you.

To apply for scholarships, visit the Scholarships page at . The first step is to complete our General Scholarship Application. This one application makes you eligible for a wide range of our scholarships. Our application system, AwardSpring, will also recommend other scholarship opportunities for you to apply to based on your answers to the General Scholarship Application questions.

The application period usually runs between October and February. Other scholarships do open throughout the year, but students are only eligible to apply for these if they have first applied to our General Scholarship Application. So you can see why it's so important to get that application finished during the application period!

To learn about where the Foundation is in the scholarship process, what other scholarships open throughout the year, and what outside scholarship opportunities are available to CCS students, make sure to sign up for our Scholarship Newsletter on the Scholarship page of our website.

Helpful Tips:

FAFSA and Foundation scholarships are different. Make sure to apply for FAFSA to access loans and grants. It's also important to share your EFA number from your FAFSA paperwork in your scholarship application. This helps the Scholarship Award Committee know your financial need, but you can also express extenuating circumstances (parents who claim you as a dependent aren't helping you pay for college, loss of job, etc.) in your application.

Make sure to write a full response to each application question. This is your one chance to communicate your need for scholarships to the committee.

Remember that scholarships aren't just about your grades. Other factors, like your work goals and history, volunteering, and financial situation are also important.

You'll hear about your awards in the spring.

Scholarship information is updated regularly; the most recent information will be available on our AwardSpring application portal.

Scholarships are organized alphabetically by program.
