In the five years between 2005 and 2009 the overall Maryland population increased
by 1.8%, while the Maryland Hispanic population increased by 28.8%.

be without health insurance.

Hispanics have a 20% to 30% higher rate of new cases of End-Stage Renal Disease (kidney disease), than Non- Hispanic Whites in the age groups older than 54 years of age.
The rate of new cases of HIV for Hispanics or Latinos was about 2.3 times higher than for Whites in 2008.
